USDA approval for ECOVAXXIN®MS field safety

Eco Animal Health announces that the US Department of Agriculture, Centre for Veterinary Biologics (USDA-CVB) has confirmed that Eco Animal Health’s US field safety trial data for its proprietary poultry vaccine, ECOVAXXIN®MS, fulfils the requirement to enable licensing of the product.

This represents a major regulatory milestone in the path towards commercial deployment. The Group expects to receive US marketing approval by the end of CY26.

The US trial involved over 170,000 commercial laying pullets across three sites in Michigan, Indiana and Wisconsin. ECOVAXXIN® MS provides active immunisation in future layer and breeder chickens from four weeks old, helping to reduce the air-sac and foot-pad lesions caused by Mycoplasma synoviae infections, which can cause up to 10% loss in egg-laying productivity. ECOVAXXIN® MS is the first of a series of new products under development progressing towards commercial deployment and has an estimated peak year revenue of £22.2m and (adj.) EBITDA contribution of £16.9m (76.2% margin).

Today’s announcement represents an important step towards ECOVAXXIN® MS commercialisation, and follows strong Group performance in FY26. Our Fair Value remains 180p/share.
