Paul has over 20 years’ experience, including co-founding a successful underwriting agency, as well as working as a senior dealmaker for a multinational insurance group. He is a regular contributor to The Review magazine of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, covering emerging trends in financial services and fintech.

Robin is a highly experienced biotech sector analyst and consultant, who has specialised in this industry for more than 3 decades. In recent years he has run a specialist consulting firm providing investment research as well as advising biotech/med-tech companies on business development and capital market strategies. Prior to this, Robin had been Head of Healthcare at Edison Investment Research. 

Caroline has over 25 years' experience leading UK and pan-Euro, multi-cap, Retail Equity Research teams at Stifel, Jefferies, Execution Noble and Morgan Stanley.  For the past decade, she has specialised in UK small and medium sized consumer companies and IPOs, leveraging her early career as an investment banker at NM Rothschild & Sons and her MBA (Distinction) from INSEAD. 

Nick holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Mining Geology from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College and began his career with BP Minerals before working as a mine geologist for Rustenburg Platinum Mines in South Africa.

Since 1982 he built a career in mining investment banking, primarily as a mining analyst but also in raising finance for mining companies. His global expertise ranges from the largest diversified global mining companies to potential small cap exploration IPOs; he has covered all major mining equity markets and his experience spans the commodity spectrum.

As well as working for several international investment banks, Nick is also a NED at an AIM-listed resources company. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Geological Society and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Peter has extensive experience in both finance and industry. His investment banking roles have been as an award-winning analyst on utilities and infrastructure (Dresner Kleinwort), Co-Head of Corporate Broking (Credit Suisse), Head of Research (Liberum), and most recently as a partner at the leading fund management group ATLAS Infrastructure.  In business, he has been a NED at Fastjet and CEO at easyBus. 

Mike has 35 years’ experience as an equity analyst in Europe and Asia-Pacific, specialising in technology, including renewables, and has worked with mid-sized AIM-listed corporates for over a decade. He has been top-ranked in the technology and software sector in Japan (Greenwich and Nikkei), in the UK and Europe (Starmine) and by Extel.

Irnest has 20 years’ experience as an equity analyst spanning the technology and telecommunications sectors in. He previously worked for Societe Generale Securities as an analyst before going independent in 2003. He has also consulted to many local and multi-national enterprises, helping them with valuations, M&A, strategic insight and investor relations services. He is a multi-award winning analyst and has been rated by the FM Ranking the Analysts survey in South Africa in the top five analysts in his sector for 17 consecutive years. In 2022, he was the number 1 rated analyst in his sector. Prior to his career in equity research he worked in the technology sector for a number of years.

Elizabeth is a highly-rated analyst with over 20 years’ experience. She was #1 Healthcare Sector StockPicker in the Starmine Awards for 2006 and 2013 and was Top 10 in the Extel survey for many years. Prior to founding her own consultancy, Elizabeth worked at Teathers, Bridgewell, RW Baird, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and N+1 Singer.

Roger has nearly 30 years’ experience covering financial markets for brokers such as Hoare Govett and Dawnay Day, commentators like the Investors Chronicle, and research firms such as Edison. He is a real estate specialist but has also covered technology, fund management, manufacturers, legal and support services and other financials sectors.

Ryan has over 10 years’ experience in the mining industry, having worked on projects with companies including Barrick Gold, Anglo American and Xstrata, and he has held analyst roles with Edison Group and Northland Capital Partners. He has a PhD in Economic Geology, an MSc in Mining Geology and a BSc Hons in Exploration & Resources Geology.

David has over 20 years’ experience at brokers that include BZW, Credit Suisse, Crédit Lyonnais, Altium and Shore Capital. He was regularly ranked within the Extel Survey for small and mid-cap companies, with a focus on recruitment companies, and in 2011 received the #1 stock picker award from Starmine in the consumer & business services sector.

John has extensive experience in global healthcare and diagnostics markets. He has been the founder CEO of an AIM listed company, a strategy consultant to major global companies, UK research councils and government departments, and a healthcare analyst at Edison. He has a degree and PhD in chemistry and biochemistry (Nottingham) and an MBA.

Andy joined Equity Development in 2019 after nearly two years in the healthcare team at Edison and before that, as a senior principal in ICON’s Pricing & Market Access consultancy. Prior to ICON he was chief investment officer at Mann Bioinvest and managed healthcare and biotech funds at AXA Framlington, SV Life Sciences, Schroders and 3i Group.

Simon has 30 years of equity market experience at organisations that include Panmure Gordon, Peel Hunt and, most recently, at Cenkos Securities where he was Head of Research for the Growth Companies Team, specialising in Technology, a sector he has covered for most of his career. He was rated #1 stock picker in Starmine in 2019.

A geologist by training, Phil has over 20 years’ experience in mining and started his career working in diamond exploration in South Africa. Since 2006, he worked as a mining analyst for a number of brokers, including RBC, and was also a member of the #1 ranked mining team at Numis. In 2016, he founded his own firm, Mineview Consulting.

A highly rated analyst across a number of surveys including FT / Starmine, Extel and the Wall Street Journal, James is a KPMG qualified accountant with a 15 year career as an equity research analyst, first at Brewin Dolphin and, until the end of 2022, as Deputy Head of Research at Singer Capital Markets where he led the Support Services team.

Toby is a highly experienced equity markets professional who has worked on both the sell-side and buy-side, as well as in the independent research sector. Working with businesses of diverse activities and market capitalisations, the range of roles he has undertaken includes research analyst, business development/specialist sales, and asset manager. 

Emma entered the City in the 1990s at Société Générale, marketing UK equities to European fund managers. She then made the transition to being a healthcare analyst in 2004, going on to work at Edison Research and WH Ireland. Emma joined the Equity Development team in 2017.

Chris is a senior analyst covering branded, consumer oriented companies. With over 30 years’ experience, he has worked at organisations which include Bankers Trust, Lehman Brothers, Société Générale and Stifel. Chris has achieved Extel, Institutional Investor and Starmine rankings, and was rated ResearchTree’s top analyst across all sectors in 2017.
